About Us & Useful Info

High-functioning Trafford was set up by a group of parents who recognised a need for children with high-functioning autism/Asperger’s to have a social group, where they could get together with other like-minded children and enjoy socialising on their own level without any pressure alongside people who understand them.

We currently run a regular monthly meet-up where children have access to a range of facilities including: laptops, playstations, X-box, table football, a pool table and art/craft activities. There is a separate room where parents and carers can get together for a chat whilst their children have fun. These sessions are aimed at school aged children (5 – 14 years) and siblings are also welcome to attend.

We also run additional activities which can help with things like co-ordination, social skills, core strength etc (see our blog for some of the things we’ve provided).
